Video game developer Psyonix has announced a new crossover event, merging the worlds of Rocket League and The Mandalorian from Disney+. Branded the "Mandalorian Mayhem", this short-term event came alive on February 7 and will continue until February 21.
The Star Wars-themed collaboration immerses players in a variety of unique challenges centered around the popular TV series. In addition to this, rewards modeled after the series’ most recognizable characters are up for the taking. By overcoming these challenges, players have the opportunity to win the "This is the Way" Player Title and four Player Banners that sports characters like Boba Fett and Bo Katan. In addition, players can accessorize their vehicles with Toppers inspired by Din Djarin's jetpack and helmet, along with baby Grogu in his cute floating crib.
Other available rewards include the Paz Vizsla Dominus Decal and a Darksaber Boost, inspired by the Darksaber used by Din Djarin and Bo Katan in the series. For the more difficult challenges, such as engaging in 20 online matches, players can win a Golden Moon, which can unlock items from the Velocity, Elevation, or Overdrive Series when opened from the inventory.
Moving onto the in-game store, new bundles have been added. Players can purchase the Mandalorian Mega Bundle which includes Decal, Wheel, and Goal Explosion from five different packs, alongside the Din Djarin Player Banner and the "Mandalorian" Player Title for 2,000 Credits. For an additional 500 Credits, the Mandalorian Mega Bundle + Fennec can be purchased, which also includes the Fennec Car Body.
In conjunction with the event, Psyonix has included an exciting 3v3 mode named G-Force Frenzy, boasting an unlimited boost that is significantly more potent than its usual power.
