Throughout its history, World of Tanks has collaborated with numerous iconic franchises and celebrities, seamlessly blending elements from Warhammer 40K, Megadeth, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vinnie Jones, Chuck Norris, G.I. Joe, Terminator, Hot Wheels, among others, into its gameplay. Joining this illustrious roster and timed with the release anticipation of Dune: Part Two, Legendary Entertainment and Wargaming have teamed up to introduce a Dune-themed six-week event to the popular multiplayer game.
The event kicks off on Thursday, February 15, and concludes on April 1. This special period will feature a series of platform-specific in-game activities with new mechanics and exclusive Dune-inspired rewards.
For fans of the main World of Tanks game, the excitement comes in the form of a new battle pass incorporating a storyline involving Dune characters Gurney Halleck, 'Beast' Rabban, and Lady Jessica. Participants will have the opportunity to integrate key figures from the Dune universe as tank crew members, all the while collecting themed items, including 2D customizations, decals, and inscriptions. Additionally, the game will introduce the Mittlerer KPZ.PR.68, a new Tier VIII tank distinguished by a unique 3D style complete with special effects.
Players of World of Tanks Blitz can look forward to a distinct event where they can obtain exclusive Dune-related items, such as the Crysknife, by accomplishing quests from Rabban and the Fremen forces. The rewards include a Groundtank designed in the style of the fearsome Sardaukar warriors.
A special, time-bound community event is planned for World of Tanks Modern Armor, encompassing three separate phases. Each phase presents distinct challenges and exclusive prizes, featuring commanders such as Gurney Halleck, the Sardaukar, and Rabban.
