A new horror film is on the way, produced by Mike Flanagan, who is known for his previous successful projects. This film promises to combine spine-chilling thrills with engaging storytelling, featuring talented stars from recent acclaimed series and films.
Mike Flanagan is gearing up to produce a fresh action-horror flick starring Kate Siegel from Midnight Mass and David Dastmalchian of Oppenheimer. The project, called Epilogue, unfolds a year after a supposed conclusion to a zombie apocalypse. Amid this chaos, a couple embarks on a quest to find a cure for their infected daughter.
The directing reins are held by Michael Fimognari, known for his work on The Fall of the House of Usher, with the screenplay crafted by Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason. Joining Flanagan as producers are Todd Garner, Courtney Petrakis, and Brittney McDade.
Both Siegel and Dastmalchian are set to appear in Flanagan's forthcoming adaptation of Stephen King's The Life of Chuck, which Flanagan believes may surpass all his previous works. He remarked on the production experience, expressing a strong sense of satisfaction and excitement during filming. The confidence in the initial scenes set a remarkable tone that led him to feel an extraordinary connection with what was being captured on camera.
Siegel has had the opportunity to work alongside Flanagan multiple times, contributing to projects such as Hush, Oculus, Gerald's Game, The Haunting of Hill House, and The Haunting of Bly Manor.
Star Chiwetel Ejiofor recently expressed his admiration for The Life of Chuck, highlighting the film's successful debut in Toronto and the stunning impact it had on audiences. He called it a beautiful production that left a lasting impression on him.
