Ubisoft is back again tweaking the gameplay of Rainbow Six Siege through its Lab Test Server, causing some unrest amongst the gaming community. As of 15th of January, gamers have been granted access to sample these adjustments until 22nd January at 4pm ET / 1pm PT / 9pm GMT (January 23 at 8am AEDT). The prospect of experiencing a rehashed Ballistic Shield, initially hinted in February 2023, holds excitement for some. A thrilling feature of the rework is the ability for users to sprint using shields and obliterate barricades.

However, not all the changes are received with the same enthusiasm, especially by those who prefer certain Attackers. In particular, there is discontent regarding the increased fuse time for operator Ace's S.E.L.M.A. Aqua Breacher ability, which slows down the blasting through walls and doors.

Moreover, the G-36C assault rifle available for Attackers Iana and Ash now faces higher recoil. Furthermore, the SMG-11 used by Attacker Amaru and Defenders Smoke, Mute, and Solis has met with a damage reduction. Lastly, the recoil of SPAS-15, usable by Defenders Thunderbird and Caveira, has been altered.

Even though the updates seemingly target multiple sides, a considerable portion of the players hold the view that Rainbow Six Siege’s Defender characters should also be amended, citing their current overpowering dominance. As expressed by numerous players on Twitter, the nerfs seem unfair since the newest additions to Defender characters appear significantly more overpowering.

Gamers' feedback play an essential role in the implementation of these latest changes on the Lab Test Server, with players being urged to respond to surveys about their experience. The final alterations are still subject to change. Fans and players of the game will have to see what lies ahead. For alternatives to Rainbow Six Siege, there are numerous other options for the best First-Person Shooter and multiplayer PC games.
